The functions, duties and powers of the Regional Seed Testing Laboratory shall be as follows:-
(a) To test the samples of seeds by charging the service fee as prescribed by the Government of Nepal (b) Test the samples as per clause (a) and provide the results to the concerned parties in the format as per schedule-14.
(c) To certify the seeds by charging the service fee as prescribed by the Government of Nepal.
(d) To update the record of certification according to clause (c) and send information to the center.
(e) Request for seed certification certificate (tag) should be sent to the center in advance (f) To test the samples of seeds obtained from sample collection by charging the service fee as prescribed by the Government of Nepal.
(g) To inform the sample collection by means of fast means of the results of the sample test obtained according to clause (f).
(h) To test the intermediate sample sent by the laboratory after testing the central seed seed within the stipulated time and send the report.
(i) To implement the suggestions and instructions given by the central seed testing laboratory.
(j) At least ten percent of the samples received in the laboratory should be sent to the Central Seed Testing Laboratory for testing.
(k) After guard sample testing, to store the seeds in a safe manner so that the quality of the seeds is maintained for at least one year.
(l) To implement the suggestions and instructions received from the committee and the center.
